Yoga is known for the physical and mental well-being it offers. It enhances concentration, strengthens muscles, and reduces stress.
In addition, it helps restore the balance of a woman's hormonal system, thereby reducing the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, such as menstrual cramps, back pain, headache and mood swings.
The Flower team recommends the following exercises so that you too can benefit from the relief offered by yoga:
Downward facing dog
With your feet hip-width apart, bend forward at the waist and place your hands on the ground, hips in the air. Your hands should be shoulder-width apart, and your arms, shoulders, and back should form a straight, diagonal line. Your hands should be at the front of your mat and your toes should be facing forward, near the back of the mat.
All poses, in which the heart is higher than the head, activate blood flow, "awakening" and relaxing the body.
Child 's pose
Start with your knees and toes on the ground, feet touching each other. With your knees apart, rest your belly and chest between your legs. Place your face on the ground and stretch your arms out in front of you.
The camel pose
Sit on your knees and bring your feet together. Slowly bend backwards and place your hands on your heels, then arch your back and stretch your ribs. Pull your head towards the floor and hold the pose for 30 seconds before returning to the starting position.
Bow stance (the bow)
Lie on your stomach and exhale. Bend your knees back toward your head. Hold your ankles with your hands and exhale, then pull your legs and arms up as high as you can. Your buttocks and chest should be lifted off the floor, and you should be balancing on your stomach.
The reclined goddess pose
This pose is ideal for before bed as it can even be done in your bed. You can also place a heating pad or even a hot water bottle on your belly to relieve period pain,
Lie down with your feet together and your knees falling towards the floor.
Yoga, and exercise in general, can help relax your body's muscles and your mind. Choose your favorite type of exercise and get through your period pains as painlessly as possible.
