Whether it's your first or your hundredth time camping, your period may come along with it! With a little preparation, you won't have to hesitate for a moment to take the boat to the beach of your dreams.
Find out about the place
Before you start, calculate how long you will be sitting and find out: will there be a toilet? Will there be a garbage disposal? Will there be running water, either for drinking or for washing?
How much country will you have in your bag?
Whether you're expecting your period or not, vacations and travel can affect your cycle and it may come earlier or later. So it doesn't hurt to be prepared!
What to take with you
Make a bag with everything you need, so you don't have to search through your backpack for your things one by one. Take your Flower sanitary pads in whatever size you need, hand sanitizer, underwear, wet wipes, soap and toilet paper! By using Flower, which is made entirely of 100% organic cotton, you know that in addition to protecting yourself, you are also protecting the environment, so choose the other products you use to be biodegradable.
How to wash yourself
If there's no shower, don't worry, there are ways to stay fresh without one.
Clean your hands with your antiseptic liquid or natural soap before and after changing your pad. If you can't wash your hands, rinse them well in the sea or river!
Leave no trace
If there are no bins around, make sure to take all your rubbish with you. Keep a resealable bag so you can have it whenever you need it. If you enjoy the natural, clean landscape, do what you can to keep it that way!
Life is too short not to go on vacation when you have your period!
