Do we say yes to cotton or no?

When we hear the word “organic” or “organic” about a product, most of us think of food and personal care products. But how many of us think of cotton?

Cotton is all around us. It's in our towels, our bed sheets, our clothes, the hygiene products we use. Yet, we've never wondered how it's grown, where it comes from, whether it's been processed, and whether it's a pure material for humans.

Conventional cotton is not as innocent as we think. To produce it, 910 million tons of chemical fertilizers are consumed per year and its growers use the most dangerous pesticides that release toxins into the environment, including dioxin, leaving residues in the cotton. Research shows that pesticides have been linked to infertility, depression and various birth defects, while dioxins cause diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and liver damage.

Why should the products we use be made of organic cotton?

60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed by our bodies. Organic cotton is free of harmful chemicals and is produced without the use of pesticides, making it an excellent choice for both health and the environment. Organic cotton production is based on a farming system that maintains and regenerates soil fertility without the continued use of toxic chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers or genetically modified seeds or sprays. For all of the above reasons, we designed the certified organic Flower sanitary napkins. They are made of 100% organic cotton, ensuring absolute protection during your period, in the healthiest, most body-friendly way.

So by choosing to incorporate organic cotton into our lives, we are essentially choosing the purest and healthiest version of cotton. And to that, we confidently say "yes"!
